Thanks to the Birdhouse Buying Club, Tampa Bay residents are coming together to purchase organically grown local and regional produce. Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom is delighted to welcome founder, Ryan Iacovacci, to the show Friday, September 7 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. Ryan will discuss the Birdhouse Buying Clubs efforts to operate a transparent, sovereign and democratically managed food cooperative. The group and its members work to bring honesty, respect and affordability back into the food system by respecting all consumers, growers/harvesters and the planet. Ryan also is active in many other community organizations and causes. He is a board member of the local public radio station, WMNF, and, he works as a bartender at the Mermaid Tavern.
